Antigua and Barbuda has been open to international tourism since June 4, 2020, so it’s one of the many countries that are open to tourists right now. Antigua and Barbuda allows travelers from all countries to visit, but there are a few entry restrictions they must follow.

All travelers must have proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result from within 7 days of their trip, complete a Health Declaration Form on arrival, and submit to a mandatory health screening with temperature check on arrival.

Additionally, all tourists need to have proof of a reservation at a certified accommodation. Fully vaccinated tourists can stay at bio-safe/certified accommodations. Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated tourists must stay at a COVID-19 Certified Accommodation/Lodging.

Fully vaccinated citizens and residents of Antigua and Barbuda are exempt from quarantining on arrival. Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated citizens and residents must quarantine for 14 days from their arrival at a hotel at their own expense.

The vaccine administered must be a WHO- or MOHWE- (Ministry of Health, Wellness, and the Environment) approved vaccine. To be considered fully vaccinated, travelers must have received the final dose of their vaccine at least 14 days prior to travel.

In order to visit Antigua and Barbuda, all travelers need to present evidence of a negative RT-PCR test result that was obtained within 7 days of their arrival, even if they are only transiting through the country. Only children who are under 5 years of age do not need to take a RT-PCR test to enter Antigua and Barbuda.

Guests may have their temperature checked upon arrival at their accommodation. They must also wear masks whenever they are in close contact with other people or are traveling around their accommodation’s property.

Masks will be available at reception for guests who do not have them. Hand sanitizer will be available at accommodations’ entrances and on each floor by the elevator. High-touch surfaces will be disinfected frequently.

You do not have to wear a mask on the beach as long as you are participating in beach activities and abiding by social distancing rules, but you should definitely wear a mask when you are entering and exiting the beach area.

Restaurants that are open in Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda’s restaurants are open for dining in, takeout, and delivery. Restaurants may require reservations, so be sure to check if you need to book a table.

Tables will be located 6 feet apart and all surfaces will be sanitized. Guests should wear masks when entering, moving around, and exiting the restaurant. Guests should also sanitize their hands upon entering the restaurant and before eating.

All travelers must wear masks and adhere to social distancing protocols while in the airport. They will also be subject to a mandatory health screening and a temperature check on arrival.

Antigua and Barbuda currently has a curfew in place from 11 PM to 5 AM. Only essential services and workers can operate during these hours.
