Ferry to La Graciosa – Boat to La Graciosa from Lanzarote
If you’re wondering how to get to La Graciosa, you have to know that there’s only one way: by ferry from Lanzarote, specifically from the Órzola port. There is no airport in La Graciosa or any other way to get there other than by sea.
Several companies operate on this route daily, although the most economical ferry to La Graciosa from Lanzarote is this one.

It only takes 30 minutes to get from Lanzarote to La Graciosa. The ferry will leave you in Caleta de Sebo, which is practically the only town on the island. The ferry schedule to La Graciosa is as follows:
- From Órzola (Lanzarote): Daily departures at 8:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:30, 16:00, 17:00, and 18:00. In addition, from May 1 to October 31, another ferry is added at 19:00, and from July 1 to October 31, the last ferry is at 20:00.
- From Caleta de Sebo (La Graciosa):Daily departures at 10:00, 11:00, 12:30, 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00. In addition, from May 1 to October 31, another ferry is added at 18:00, and from July 1 to October 31, the last ferry is at 19:00.
Apart from the ferries to La Graciosa from Lanzarote, there are some day trips to La Graciosa from Lanzarote, but they are not the same. What I mentioned above is just the transport from Lanzarote to La Graciosa to visit La Graciosa on your own.

Although the island of La Graciosa is small, the fastest way to get from one point to another is by bike. There are hardly any cars on its roads, and the island, in general, is quite flat, so it’s ideal to explore La Graciosa by bicycle.
We rented the bikes at Uruciosa Bike, in c/La Caletilla nº 2, but from what I’ve read, their service seems to have gotten worse. Still, we had no problems, and the bikes were great. If you want another option, I recommend El Mato Bike, in c/La Fija, nº5, also in Caleta de Sebo.

It is somewhat isolated, on the northwest of the island, and is about 1,970 feet long and 262 feet wide, with spectacular surroundings. When you see it, you’ll definitely agree that it’s one of the best beaches in La Graciosa.
The only drawback is its strong currents, so it’s not the best beach if you visit La Graciosa with kids. But don’t worry – there are many other beaches to go to in La Graciosa that you’ll definitely like that are also much closer to Cala de Sebo, where the La Graciosa ferry docks.

What most impressed me about Caleta de Sebo was seeing its streets full of dunes and sand. I don’t know if it’s always like that, but it seemed like it was a very remote place all year round.

If you’re a diver, don’t miss a trip to this island. Diving in La Graciosa is one of the most popular things to do, since it has up to twenty points where you can see the abundant underwater flora and fauna.
Both La Graciosa and the Chinijo archipelago in general are some of the most popular places for diving. This marine area, the largest protected area in Europe, has about 70,700 hectares for you to enjoy gorgeous spectacles under the sea.
You’ll find fish such as amberjacks, horse mackerel, angel sharks, and tuna, plus barracudas and moray eels. And, of course, the Canarian lobster.

The houses are only occupied during the summer months, but whatever time of year you go to La Graciosa, you have to visit Pedro Barba. I assure you that you won’t have seen another place like it.

If you have time, I recommend booking an apartment in La Graciosa so you can spend a night and enjoy the island for two full days.
If you decide to look for accommodation in La Graciosa, you should know that there are two places you can look: Pedro Barba and Caleta de Sebo. However, I recommend the latter option because most of the facilities are in Caleta de Sebo. Anyway, I recommend booking in advance because they usually fill up right away, especially during peak tourist season.

Evita Beach La Graciosa is one of the best options, since it’s located in front of the sea. The apartments are fully equipped and have access to the beach, along with volcanic stone gardens. If you’re looking for an apartment in La Graciosa, I consider it to be one of the best you can find in Caleta de Sebo. The apartments are for a maximum of 4 people.
La Pardela, one of the most valuable apartments in La Graciosa
La Pardela is one of the apartments in La Graciosa that I recommend, not only as one of the most valuable but also as one of the most beautiful. Although it’s not the cheapest accommodation, it is undoubtedly one of the best options for where to sleep in La Graciosa. The apartment is fully equipped and can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 people if you book a 2-bedroom apartment.
Cuesta del Salado, another apartment in La Graciosa that I recommend
The apartments in La Graciosa Cuesta del Salado are some of the most valuable, so they are also an option to consider if you’re wondering where to stay in La Graciosa. The rooms are very well equipped and have a balcony. The location is also very good. A maximum of 4 people can stay in an apartment.

Camping in La Graciosa (El Salado Beach)
If you can spend a night on the island, camping is another popular thing to do in La Graciosa. El Salado Beach is the only place where you can camp in La Graciosa. It has a few sites that you must book well in advance here. All this campsite, you will enjoy a magnificent landscape near the sea that overlooks Lanzarote and is beneath a spectacular starry sky. This is one of the best campsites in Lanzarote.
Of course, if you’ve never camped before, it’s probably better if you look for a hotel or apartment in La Graciosa, as the facilities are very rudimentary.
Camping in La Graciosa (El Salado beach)
Be aware that the wind at La Graciosa can be treacherous. You must pitch the tent very, very well if you don’t want to get an unpleasant surprise like we did. When we set up the tent in the morning, it wasn’t windy. However, when we returned to camp after sunset, our tent had blown away.
Luckily, some neighbors managed to catch it and place some stones on it. If it hadn’t been for them, I don’t know where we would have slept. Despite the experience, I think that camping in La Graciosa is one of the best things to do in La Graciosa, Lanzarote.
Restaurants in La Graciosa
Don’t worry – although the island of La Graciosa is quite small, there are plenty of places to eat. All the restaurants in La Graciosa are located in Caleta de Sebo, so if you’re going to spend the day at one of the idyllic beaches, you’ll have to bring food and drinks with you. Outside of Caleta de Sebo, there are no beach bars or places to eat in La Graciosa Island.
On the way back from your day at the beach, the terrace bars in Caleta de Sebo have plenty of good vibes, so I recommend having a cold beer in one of them.
Since it’s a small fishing village, most of the restaurants offer delicacies from the sea, some of which are not served anywhere else, such as the moray eel or the “bocinegro”. If you like fish, I recommend El Marinero, La Taquista El Caletón and El Varadero, some of the best places to try the authentic Canarian cusine.
f you’re not a big fish fan, then I recommend Los Mateos Burger or the Pizzeria Korrikia.
