Teguise is one of the main tourist towns in Lanzarote, and despite its small size, it is rich in history, as it was the island’s capital until the second half of the 19th century. Therefore, it’s worth dedicating some time to explore its charming corners and maybe spending the night in one of the top hotels in Teguise, Lanzarote.

While there are many things to do in Lanzarote, we set aside a whole morning to wander Teguise’s narrow streets and try some authentic Canarian dishes during one of our short trip to the island. After visiting several coastal cities crowded with tourists, experiencing the cozy and traditional atmosphere of Teguise was a delightful change of pace.

Of course, after experiencing that unique environment, we really regreted not stayingy in one of the hotels in Teguise at least for one night. However, a few years later, we came back and had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Boutique Palacio Ico, and we truly loved it!

It’s worth noting that most tourists looking for hotels in the Municipality of Teguise opt for coastal towns. Among the most popular options are the hotels in Costa Teguise, which provide ocean views and easy access to the best beaches in Costa Teguise. However, if, like us, you prefer staying in one of the hotels in Teguise, Lanzarote, this article offers our recommendations.

Remember that choosing a more rural and traditional setting does not equate to a boring experience. You’ll be just steps away from Caleta de Famara, where you can surf and enjoy a wild beach. For instance, the Teguise Market is only 330 ft from the hotel, offering the perfect opportunity to meet locals and enjoy an authentic market experience.

This place is among the best boutique hotels in Lanzarote, so if you decide to book a room here, I recommend doing so well in advance.
