1. Las Vegas Night Tour

Taking a Las Vegas Night Tour is the best way to get to know this amazing city, and I recommend doing one on your first night in LV. During the tour, which lasts approximately 4 hours, you’ll visit some of the most iconic places in LV. In our case, taking this tour helped us adapt to the rhythm of the city so we could return to explore it on our own the following morning, with our Las Vegas map always on hand.

2. Grand Canyon Tours from Las Vegas

There are as many tours as ways to get to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. Although in the other article I explain all the options, I still wanted to include the best ones in my compilation of Las Vegas excursions that I recommend.

These are the most popular tours to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas:

  1. Grand Canyon bus tour from Las Vegas (South Rim)
  2. Tour from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon by bus (West Rim)
  3. Tour in Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon by plane (South Rim)
  4. Grand Canyon tour in Las Vegas by helicopter with landing (West Rim)
  5. Flight over the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas (West Rim)
  6. Transfers to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas (South Rim)

If you’re in LV and have very little time, a tour in Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon West Rim is your best option, since it’s only 2 hours from Sin City. However, you should know that this area is not considered part of the national park. Plus, the views are more spectacular from the South Rim, even though it takes longer to get there.

Also, if you can afford it, don’t hesitate to take a Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour. I have to say that when I saw the Grand Canyon from its various lookout points, I was initially disappointed. It was not until I saw the Grand Canyon from the sky that I fell in love with this natural wonder. Here I tell you more about my experience.

3. Hoover Dam Bus Tours from Las Vegas

Visiting Hoover Dam, an impressive engineering work, is one of the most popular excursions in Las Vegas. Advanced techniques, that hadn’t yet been applied in any other construction, were used for the first time here, and its creation resulted in Lake Mead.

During this tour, in addition to visiting the dam and the lookout at Lake Mead, from which you’ll have fantastic panoramic views, you’ll view the winding bends of the Colorado River. You’ll also make a small stop in Boulder City, which was created to house the workers who built the dam. You’ll stop at Hemenway Park specifically, where, with a little luck, you’ll see Bighorn sheep.

Visiting Death Valley is another of the most popular tours in Las Vegas. This national park is the second largest in the United States. In addition, it is the desert with the highest temperature in America. The highest recorded temperature was 134°F, which makes it one of the most inhospitable places on Earth. Despite this, it is well worth visiting and this small-group tour is undoubtedly the best option if you don’t feel like driving there. It was certainly one of the Las Vegas excursions that impressed me the most.

The Valley of Fire is just one hour from the city, making it one of the main bus tours in Las Vegas. The reddish color of its rocks makes this state park one of the most beautiful in the United States. It’s also one of the oldest state parks in Nevada. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to visit it, but I think it’s a must-take tour in Las Vegas if you like nature and hiking.

I’ll definitely take this tour when I’m back, since you can hike trails of different levels of difficulty, and, in addition to enjoying the geological formations, your guide will help you find the petroglyphs that have survived the passage of time.

However, as time was very limited, we finally decided to visit the two parks on the same day. I assure you it was worth it. In addition, this tour, for example, is quite well priced, so you have no excuse for not enjoying Sin City from the sky. The best time to do it is at sunset, so you can see the city lights turn on and the true essence of Las Vegas.

There are a lot of interesting things to do in Los Angeles, so I don’t recommend taking a one-day tour from Las Vegas to visit this city. Ideally, you should spend at least 2 or 3 days in LA (here you can see the best hotels in Los Angeles).

However, I understand that time is limited, and maybe taking a one-day tour from Las Vegas to visit Los Angeles is a good option for you. If so, on this tour you will visit the most important areas, such as Hollywood, the Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica, making the most of the time.
