This city may not seem like a family-centric destination, but it turns out that there are lots of cool things to do in Las Vegas with kids.
I mention a few of these activities in my ultimate guide on things to do in Las Vegas, but if you’re looking for more Las Vegas attractions for kids, I’ve got you covered!
There are lots of fun activities in LV for all ages, whether you want to stay on the Vegas Strip, venture downtown, or take a day trip to one of the surrounding areas. If you’re traveling with kids, I suggest getting the Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass, which includes over 45 popular attractions, most of which are family-friendly.
In this guide, I’ll give you my top recommendations for family things to do in Las Vegas off the Strip and in the city center. At the end of the article, I’ll also include a map of Las Vegas attractions so you can plan your itinerary with ease.
Now, here are the 15 best things to do in Las Vegas for kids!
1. High Roller, an awesome attraction in Las Vegas for kids
As they arrive in Las Vegas, kids will likely notice the huge Ferris Wheel on the Strip. The High Roller is the world’s tallest observation wheel at 550 feet and provides sweeping views of the entire city. It’s also one of the best things to do in Las Vegas with kids if they’re not afraid of heights.
The High Roller has climate-controlled cabins so everyone will have a comfortable ride. As you ascend, you’ll be able to see the glittering Strip and the surrounding desert. This is a great kid’s activity in Las Vegas, and since the ride lasts about 30 minutes, it’ll keep them occupied for a bit. Riding the High Roller is also an excellent thing to do in Las Vegas at night because you can see all the neon lights on Las Vegas Boulevard.
2. Visit the Adventuredome, a fun thing to do in Las Vegas for kids
The Adventuredome theme park at Circus Circus is another family attraction in Las Vegas that’s worth checking out. This 5-acre amusement park is indoors so you can visit it all year round. Plus, there are over 25 attractions and activities, including rock climbing, laser tag, mini-golf, carnival games, and rides.
Without a doubt, the Adventuredome is one of the top places to visit in Las Vegas with kids. They’ll love the variety of family and thrill rides, such as the Canyon Blaster coaster and the Sling Shot 4G attraction. There is plenty of entertainment for adults, too, like VR games and shows.
For these reasons, this theme park is a must-do in Las Vegas with kids. It’s also a good thing to do in Las Vegas during the day to tire out the little ones!
3. Discovery Children’s Museum, one of the best museums in Las Vegas for kids
The Children’s Discovery Museum is another kid-friendly thing to do in Las Vegas. While the glitz and glamor of the Strip may be too much for children, this museum is a great alternative, and an enriching one.
The museum blends art, technology, and science in a variety of interactive exhibits and displays. There are three floors full of interesting dioramas and installations, plus structures that children can climb and play on. It’s one of the best places to visit in Las Vegas with kids because they can be rambunctious while also learning something.
One of the cool things about the museum is that it has exhibits related to the surrounding desert landscape, so it could be fun to learn about the environment and then take a day trip to one of the nearby natural parks. Regardless, visiting the museum is a good thing to do in downtown Las Vegas if you’re looking for kid-friendly attractions.
4. Go ziplining, an unforgettable thing to do in Las Vegas with family
If you’ve got a clan of thrill-seekers, then the Fly LINQ zipline is one of the best family things to do off the Las Vegas Strip. Plus, it’s part of the Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass, so everyone in the family can join in.

If you have older kids, indoor skydiving is one of the most exciting things to do in Las Vegas with teens. The Vegas Indoor Skydiving company simulates the freefall experience of skydiving without you having to leap from 10,000 feet up.
You’ll skydive in a safe vertical wind tunnel that reaches speeds up to 120 mph. No experience is necessary; all you need to do is attend a short training and let the experts suit you up. They’ll walk you through the entire process and then it’s time to fly!
Guests must be at least 40 lbs., and indoor skydiving is usually a big hit with children. They’ll feel like a superhero and it’ll be an experience they’ll never forget. To make sure you don’t miss this must-do in Las Vegas with kids, I recommend purchasing your ticket in advance.

Another waterpark, Cowabunga Bay, is about 20 minutes from the Strip in the opposite direction. It’s a bit cheaper than Wet’n’Wild, but both waterparks offer plenty of fun and lots of kid’s activities in Las Vegas.
