We found that taking a motorhome to some of the state and national parks near Las Vegas is one of the best ways to take advantage of your time in the desert.
An RV will grant you the freedom to travel at your own pace, but you should also know that RV parking in Las Vegas isn’t always easy. Don’t worry because, in this guide, I’ll share the best RV parks in Las Vegas and some helpful tips.

This resort is six miles from the Strip, on Boulder Highway, so it’s nice and quiet. Plus, if you want to wake up to mountain views and the sounds of nature, this is the spot for you!
2. Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Park
Besides the beautiful views and tranquility, you’ll have access to a general store, horseshoe pits, a library, and picnic/grilling areas. The resort’s Clubhouse hosts community events each month like karaoke, games, and movie nights, too.
Not only is Thousand Trails kid-friendly, but it’s also pet-friendly and has a dog park. On-site restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are also available to all visitors. Interestingly, not only does Thousand Trails offer RV camping in Las Vegas, but you can also rent one of the on-site cabins.

Whether you’re staying overnight or for the long-term, KOA at Sam’s Town Las Vegas RV Park is one option to check out. The resort has over 280 pull-thru sites with full hookups and access for big rigs. You can rent one of the standard sites or go for an upgraded site with a private patio and lawn. Enclosed pet areas are available for travelers with dogs.
Like many other top RV campgrounds in Las Vegas, this resort has affordable rates and a variety of convenient amenities. It’s also steps away from the 133,000ft² Sam’s Town Casino, where you can enjoy all kinds of cuisines and shops.

KOA Sam’s Town is just 15 minutes north of the Vegas Strip, and it’s also very close to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. You’re never far from a good time, and you can take advantage of the park’s free shuttle service to the casinos. KOA Sam’s Town also has propane available for purchase right at the campground.

Your individual lot includes a patio as well as power, water, and sewer hookups. Enjoy the private palm tree-lined RV community, which includes a pet park, restaurant, spa, gym, and five pools. Activities like mini-golf, pickleball, and tennis will keep you active and the kids happy.
LVM Resort is just a few minutes from the Strip, and it’s protected by 24-hour security so you can relax in total comfort and peace. This motorhome community is super cozy, but when you want to head to the Strip, you’re not far at all.
